Who We Are
MBSA is a student organization in the Leeds School of Business that supports the career development of students from underrepresented backgrounds. More so, it is a community of highly motivated students who serve as support for one another in their pursuit of personal and professional excellence.
Our Mission
MBSA is a student led community that strives to ensure that diversity, in its many forms, is understood, respected, and valued. We strive to empower underrepresented students by providing service leadership opportunities and creating an inclusive and academically-driven community while fostering professional partnerships that advance our vision.
Our Goals
– Create networking opportunities between corporations and students
– Enhance the overall college experience for our members through the support and unity of a committed community of students
– Help members gain perspective on diversity and social issues through student panel discussions
– Sponsor community service projects that allow our members to participate in the positive development of young minds
– Develop leaders who are knowledgeable in the best business practices and can think critically, communicate effectively, adapt to and lead change, value diversity, and act ethically Assist each member in developing the skills to be competitive in the job market through community speakers and business skills workshops
